I took a long hiatus for grad school and now that I've gotten my degree... I'm back!

Read along as Ambi develops her spirituality, discovers her identity, and begins to understand the world around her.

Ambi: I am Amberly "Ambi", from Chicago. In my full-time job I server as a Curriculum Specialist for a TRiO: Upward Bound program at a university. I am a proud graduate of The University of South Florida (Go Bulls!) where I received my Masters in Higher Ed: College Student Affairs. My undergrad degree is in English: Writing. I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. I have many other interests such as, higher education, mental health, DIY projects, MAKEUP and of course beauty and fashion. I am the international winner of the Iman Leather and Lace Makeup Youtube video contest. I hope to one day make a full time career out of my organization (Blushing Ambers) that works to help women raise their self-esteem and create positive self concepts of their body image through the knowledge of skincare and use of makeup. The reason I continue to create new content for this blog is because I have found a sense of self worth. I feel the greatest gift you can give a women is the affirmation that she alone is enough. I love makeup because the time I spend doing it, is me giving myself attention. And if time is money, as people say, then I can afford to pay myself some attention.
